Peace Sunday – Migrants & Refugees

Lord Jesus, you were cast out and rejected so that we might be included. Lord have mercy.

Christ Jesus, friend of the sinner and the outcast.  Christ have mercy.

Lord Jesus, you call us to be seekers of the peace of your Father’s Kingdom.  Lord, have mercy.

In a world crying out for love but still filled with too much hatred and violence. Lord have mercy.

In a country that speaks of equality but often fails to live up to that promise.  Lord have mercy.

In our communities in which some people are considered worth less than others.  Lord have mercy.

In our churches where we often neglect Jesus’ teaching of compassion

and in our families when words or deeds hurt each other.

 Lord have mercy.
