A Big Thank You to the organizers of both events recently and to all who supported contributing to church funds.

200 Club Draw

1st prize.  Michael Hall £100, 2nd Michael Stevens £50,

3rd Margaret Dunne £25, 4th Lucy Collier £10.
We made £305 on the draw so a big thank you for all those who supported this fund raising event.
The winners of the June 200 draw are:

Jan Peace £30, Margaret Hall £12.

Hw. Rotas (A note from Sheila)

The new cleaning rota is now displayed.

Rotas are on the noticeboard for the provision of altar flowers and tidying the kitchen and toilet.  To avoid the onus falling on a small number of parishioners, it would be very helpful especially during the summer months if more people could volunteer for one, or both of the rotas.  Thanks.

Eucharistic Congress

The National Congress in Sept. in Liverpool is a call to rediscover the joy of Eucharistic adoration. The specific focus on adoration – implicit in the congress title, Adoremus – is important. A true Eucharistic renewal requires a rekindling of the disposition of adoration during the celebration of the Mass itself.

Our Lady, Star of the Sea

O Mary, Star of the Sea, light of every ocean,

guide seafarers across all dark and stormy

seas that they may reach the haven of peace

and light prepared in Him who calmed the

sea. As we set forth upon the oceans

of the world and cross deserts of our time,

show us, O Mary, the fruit of your womb,

for without your Son we are lost.

Pray that we will never fail on life's journey,

that in heart and mind, word and deed,

in days of turmoil and in days of calm,

we will always look to Christ and say,

'Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?'

Our Lady of Peace, pray for us!

Bright Star of the Sea, guide us!
