Thought for the week

The Resurrection of Jesus is not the happy ending to a nice story, it is not the ‘happy end’ of a film; rather, it is God the Father’s intervention there where human hope is shattered. Pope Francis

A Happy Easter to you all.

Fr. Leo Pyle

He Came & Stood Among Us Lord Jesus Christ, Your birth, life and death remind us that to all things there is a season.

Every encounter with you brought healing, forgiveness, love and hope.

Help us to stay open to encountering you – to receiving your love, your mercy, your forgiveness – and to being changed by it.

We pray that in our turn, we will be people who will encourage others to risk that encounter and so come to know the love of the Father – your call to forgiveness and discipleship – and the Spirit’s gifts and inspiration for building the Church of the future.

We ask this in your name. Amen.
