CAFOD Lent Appeal Donations to the Lent 2015 appeal will be matched by the UK Government. This support helps bring safety, security and hope to those living in Myanmar (formally known as Burma). for instance. Each £1 given will be matched by the Gov. from 18th Feb. – 17th May up to the value of £3.5 million.

Lenten Frugal Lunches St Wilfrid's parishioners have been asked to prepare and serve Frugal Lunches on Wednesday, March 4th and Wednesday, 25th at the Methodist Church Hall. Helpers need to arrive at 10am to start serving from 11.30am until 1.30pm. All ingredients are supplied. Year of Consecrated Life The 18th World Day for Consecrated Life granted by St. John Paul II in 1977 was celebrated on Feast of Presentation of the Lord. Pope Francis designated this liturgical year the Year for Consecrated Life.
