The month of the Holy Souls

Into the darkness and warmth

We lay you down

Into the sadness and smiles

We lay you down

Into the cycles of living and dying

And rising again

We lay you down

May you rest in peace in fulfilment, in loving

May you run straight home

Into God’s loving, embrace.

We love you, we miss you,

We want you to be happy, go safely,

Go running home.

May the love of God

And the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Console us and gently wipe away every tear

From our eyes.
