Reflecting of Discipleship

This was the title of a reflection over a weekend. Points for reflection

Do I see myself as a disciple of Jesus? Or how would I describe myself in relation to Jesus?

Things which might hinder people becoming disciples – negative images of God; boundaries – often self-imposed.

What help?

Soul friends – people you can trust and talk to honestly about your faith.

Prayer; Loving communities; Being uplifted – by homilies, among other things.

A culture of encouragement and liberation.

Thought for the week

Ageing is inevitable; maturing is optional!

All in the April Evening

Lamb of God

Lamb of God your love is so beautiful,

Lamb of God your love is so real.

Lamb of God, your love is so beautiful,

You have filled my heart, with your love,

This love I can feel.

You came into this world for to save us,

You came into this world to set us free

You shed your blood, you suffered all the pain
You gave your life, when you died on Calvary

Lamb of God your love is so beautiful

Lamb of God, Your love is divine

Lamb of God your love is so beautiful

Your love is for now, it has always been.

And will be there, at the end of time.

Gordon Bell
