Hw. Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Grateful thanks to all who supported and particularly the leaders who ensured that the week helped to deepen our Christian faith.

What are you and your family doing for Lent?

Why not join us at one or more of the very popular

Partnership Lenten Pilgrimage Masses where we journey together as one. Each service will take place from 7:00pm on the Weds. during Lent, and will be followed by light refreshments. These Masses are a great chance to worship as a pilgrim, as well as getting to know some of our Partner Parishioners. 1st service: 21st Feb.

St. Elizabeth’s, Minsteracres

Today is Racial Justice Sunday.

Theme: Belonging: all are welcome’.

 Thought for the week

God is not a law to be obeyed, but a joyous energy within which to generatively spend ourselves.  Fr. Ronald Rolheiser

PRAYER FOR RACIAL JUSTICE

O God,

Who created all people in Your Holy Image,

Who loves the stranger,

Who cares for the downtrodden,

Walk with those who face discrimination,

protect them from harm help them see Christ in our community.

Guide those who fan the fires of discrimination to open their eyes

to the beauty of all your creation and respect the human dignity of all people.

Open our hearts to those who face hatred and injustice

because of their race, their background, their ethnicity

that we might better help them belong.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen
