Forward together in Hope (FTiH) - the context:

Pope Francis said "I invite all Christian, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ" with the aim that we become a "community of disciples".

The aim is an increased enthusiasm and openness to the Holy Spirit, a more outward looking church, a stronger sense of community, laity more prominent in the community, better use of our buildings, a generally accepted acknowledgement that structural change will be necessary, engagement and enthusiasm for the review process.

The key to this is thinking about how we develop a commitment to prayer so that the Holy Spirit will lead us all to become disciples of Jesus in viable and flourishing communities within our Diocese.

Beth Theobald – our representative.

Next Sunday

We welcome the Glasgow walking group (St. Leo the Great) who will once again be in Haltwhistle for Mass augmenting the congregation and the singing.

Vocation Sunday Prayer

God our Creator and Guide,
You call us out of darkness into Your wonderful Light,
making us a Royal Priesthood, a Holy People, set apart to sing Your praises.

May our families and parishes continue to nourish the seeds of vocation to the Consecrated Life and the Priesthood.

And may all who have already responded to this call, like Mary, live with openness of heart,
to treasure Your presence, to ponder Your actions so that all may joyfully proclaim Your goodness now and always. Amen.
